Back at Hornet & digital watercolor magic!
I’m excited to be back at Hornet, where i’m the lead compositor for four short animations for Shaklee.
I have been working closely with the design team to come up with a process to come up with our unique technique for achieving a water-color look while compositing traditional 2D animation.
The challenge is to have a hand painted-like texture that is able to have rich detail and evolve through time. The trick we have discovered is to have the flash animators create various matte fills that I can then layer and composite with texture.
